Details, details, details.

Detail shots usually feature the building materials, shapes, color or textures. Wood, stone, landscape and hardscape, various high-end finishes, or reflections in glass or water. For select homes, I like to seek out cool angles, materials, colors, textures or shapes that you wouldn't necessarily consider during a standard real estate shoot. I use only natural light, and often find myself lying on the floor, or balancing the camera directly on the surface to get these artistic shots. Detail shots tend to be more abstract, but can create a powerful connection to the home. They're relatively easy to shoot, but take a little extra time to shoot and process.
